| Hi Everyone - this is Jessica Walter, the
Iowa Youth Director We had a great meeting at the
Memorial Day show with lots of fun ideas for activities for the
Gold Star/Fall Show. Thanks to those attended, and we missed
those who couldn't!
It was decided to send
four delegates
to Youth Nationals for the Youth Convention again this year.
Delegates must be able to represent the IaAHA Youth at the
Convention, as well as participate in other Youth Nationals
activities as applicable. Interested youth need to submit an
essay by June 15th
about why they should be a delegate to represent
the IaAHA Youth. These essays can be submitted to me via email
at
JessicaWalter52@gmail.com and will be judged by a non-horse
friend of mine that teaches middle school in the Des Moines
Public School System. Each delegate will be reimbursed the cost
of his or her plane ticket or mileage up to $500. Please don't
hesitate to write or call me at 515-577-6388 with any questions.
I look forward to seeing everyone Labor Day Weekend. We
have some fun ideas in the works for fundraisers, including a
dunk tank! Please feel free to send me any ideas for activities
or fundraisers you'd like to do.
Sincerely,
Jessica |
